  • Motor Vehicle Safety State Fact Sheets 10/8/2020 9:51:00 AMCDC released new state-based fact sheets on restraint use, which provide an overview of proven strategies to increase the use of car seats, booster seats, and seat belts.   • COVID-19 Science Updates10/6/2020 10:06:00 AMTo help inform CDC'sCOVID-19 Response, and help CDC staff stay up to date on the latest COVID-19 research, CDC created a series called COVID-19 Science Update. This series, the first of its kind for a CDC emergency response, provides brief summaries of new COVID-19-related studies on many topics, including epidemiology, clinical treatment and management, laboratory science, and modeling.

CDC's Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support  provided support and partnership to the Public Health Institute's Center for Health Leadership and Practice to launch and maintain NLAPH, which is now in its 10th year. NLAPH helps teams of leaders from health, housing, education, transportation, and law enforcement build their capacity to transform their communities, improve health, and advance equity.   • New CDC report shows American Indian and Alaska Native populations are disproportionately affected by COVID-199/1/2020 1:49:00 PMCDC released a new study that shows how COVID-19 is affecting American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN). CDC found that in 23 selected states, the rates of infection among AI/AN people were 3.5 times that of non-Hispanic white people.
  • Health Advisory: Hurricane Laura-Clinical Guidance for Carbon Monoxide Poisoning8/28/2020 8:21:00 AMCDC has released a health advisory, "Hurricane Laura-Clinical Guidance for Carbon Monoxide (CO) Poisoning," reminding clinicians seeing patients from the areas affected by Hurricane Laura to maintain a high index of suspicion for CO poisoning. Other people who may be exposed to the same CO source may need to be identified and assessed.
