Emergency Preparedness

2022 Emergency Preparedness Summit & Fair

Weather in North Texas is unpredictable and can change in an instant. Families never can be over-prepared for severe weather and unforeseen natural and man-made disasters that may impact the region. In an effort to help residents be better prepared, Congressman Burgess is hosting his 2022 Emergency Preparedness Summit & Fair on Saturday, April 23rd  at Argyle High School

In partnership with Argyle ISD, the Argyle Police Department, Denton County Emergency Services, the Denton County Sheriff’s Office, Denton County ESD #1 and the Flower Mound Fire Department, and other organizations, Dr. Burgess has designed this free and informative event to be enjoyable for the whole family.

This year’s Summit will feature a “Kid Zone” with special children’s activities including “Touch the Trucks” tours of emergency vehicles and live safety demonstrations. The event will open to the public at 8:00 am and conclude at 12:00 Noon.  Learn how to prepare and protect your family to meet all hazards: at home, at school and at work.
