Washington, D.C. — Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) released the following statement today supporting family values:
H.R. 36- Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act: Amends the federal criminal code to make it a crime for any person to perform or attempt to perform an abortion if the probable post-fertilization age of the fetus is 20 weeks or more. (Franks R-AZ)
H.R. 257- Recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel Act: This bill states that it is U.S. policy to recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. (Franks R-AZ)
H.R. 2659- United States-Israel Agriculture Strategic Partnership Act: To authorized the establishment of a program for cooperative research and development in agriculture with the Government of Israel, and for other purposes. (Soto D-FL)
H.R. 781- Free Speech Fairness Act: Amends the Internal Revenue Code to permit a tax-exempt organization to make certain statements related to a political campaign without losing its tax-exempt status.
H.R.7- No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2017: Prohibits federal funds, including funds in the budget of the District of Columbia, from being expended for abortion or health coverage that includes coverage of abortion. Abortions are eligible for federal funding only in cases of rape or incest, or where a physical condition endangers a woman's life unless an abortion is performed. (Smith R-NJ)
