The American Rescue Plan was signed into law on March 11, 2021 and provides $1.9 trillion in COVID-19 relief, including a new round of stimulus checks, restored unemployment benefits, a one-year expansion of the Child Tax Credit, additional targeted loans for small businesses, emergency rental assistance, funds to help reopen schools, distribute vaccines, and increase testing, and resources for state and local governments to support essential workers.
