In March 2021, Congress approved the American Rescue Plan Act, a $1.9 trillion stimulus bill. In a separate measure, Congress also approved legislation to extend the PPP small business loan assistance program.
In December 2020, Congress approved the Bipartisan-Bicameral Omnibus and COVID Relief Deal. The package provided $900 billion in funding and relief efforts.
In April 2020, Congress approved the Paycheck Protection Program and Healthcare Enhancement Act with $310 billion in PPP funding, $10 billion for SBA loans, $50 billion for Disaster Loans, $75 billion for hospitals and healthcare providers, and $25 billion for COVID-19 testing.
