It is vital to every American that they are able to choose a healthcare plan that meets their needs at a price they can afford.  I am deeply concerned about rising healthcare costs for employees and consumers alike, and am committed to finding a solution to our nation’s healthcare needs.  One of our priorities should be to ensure the American healthcare system is the best in the world, and replace Obamacare with a conservative alternative that empowers patients – in consultation with doctors of their choosing – to make their own healthcare decisions.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Garret Graves announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2,240,000 grant to the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to improve Pump Station 299 and increase capacity to support business development in the Baton Rouge Health District. This EDA project, to be matched with $560,000 in local funds, is expected to create 574 jobs and generate $21 million in private investment.

Authorization expired in 2019 because of partisan efforts to include controversial policy provisions beyond the intent of the bill, but Congress has continued to fund VAWA programs via short-term spending bills.
