Internships are offered for the Summer, Fall and Spring semesters in both Congressman Kinzinger’s Washington, DC and Ottawa, IL offices. Interns will observe the inner workings of a Congressional office while gaining firsthand knowledge of the legislative process. DC responsibilities include leading Capitol tours, answering phones, greeting constituents, assisting staff with legislative projects, and attending briefings and hearings. While preference is given to applicants from Illinois, I encourage all candidates with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to apply.
