Groundbreaking For New Ripley Wastewater Facility

My staff was on hand to participate in the groundbreaking for the new wastewater facility in Ripley. The event was an essential step forward for the health and safety of the Evans and Ripley communities. As part of the project, connecting water lines from Evans to Ripley are in the process of being replaced. This new facility will greatly enhance the quality of life for those in Jackson County. My office was proud to offer federal assistance to help get the project off the ground.

The project will result in clean water to go into Mill Creek, it is under the direction of The Thrasher Group, at a cost of $31,158,758. Funders include the USDA Rural Development loan and grant, additional grants administered by the USDA, an Army Corps of Engineers grant, West Virginia Infrastructure & Jobs Development Council loans and grants, clean water loan and congressionally directed spending. The project is projected to be completed within the next 20 months.
