July 7, 2022

Washington, D.C. – With summertime travel plans approaching for families across the country, Rep. Michelle Steel (R-CA) today announced that her Huntington Beach, CA office is receiving a higher-than-average number of passport requests for assistance from constituents. Last year, the State Department had a processing backlog of more than 2 million applications, causing delays for would-be travelers nationwide. To help constituents better prepare for travel this year, Rep. Steel shared the following resources:

“My team is ready and able to assist residents of California’s 48th District who are experiencing delays or difficulties with their passports,” said Rep. Steel. “I encourage anyone seeking to travel internationally to plan well in advance, and reach out directly to my office for support.”
