Request for Proposals: WA-08 Surface Transportation Projects
Each year, Members of Congress host the Congressional App Challenge in their respective district. During the challenge, students design apps on a topic of their choice individually or in teams, improving their knowledge of coding and computer science in the process. The challenge cultivates STEM knowledge and interest within middle and high school students, helping to promote career exploration through hands on work in STEM, coding, and computer science.
Programmatic and Community Project Funding Requests have closed for FY23 Appropriations. Congresswoman Schrier has announced 15 Community Projects that she is submitting to the House Appropriations Committee for further funding consideration. You may view the submitted projects here.

An internship is available in my District office. Applicants should be eager to learn more about the legislative process and want to be part of a hardworking team dedicated to serving Washington’s 8th District. Interns will work in a fast-paced Congressional office, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of the United States Congress.
