Through this fellowship, studentscan gain real-world experiencein aMichigansmallbusinessorfranchise,whilepartneringwithour office to learn how federal policies affect small business operations.
This fellowship is open to high school and college students who live and/or learn in Michigan’s 11th Congressional district.

Each fall, a nation-wide middle and high school coding competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional App Challenge is an opportunity to recognize and encourage computer science talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District.

In the Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the fall, spring or summer semesters for college students. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when Congress is in session, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when not in session.
