WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed by voice vote S. 3103, the Eliminating Limits to Justice for Child Sex Abuse Victims Act, the Senate companion to legislation introduced by Representatives Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14), Deborah Ross (NC-02), Eric Swalwell (CA-15), and Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27). S. 3103 now heads to President Biden’s desk to be signed into law.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, President Biden signed into law Representatives Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14) and David Trone’s (MD-06) Public Safety Officer Support Act. This bipartisan legislation expands the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Program (PSOB) to include coverage for first responders who die as a result of suicide or are disabled as a result of traumatic service-related experiences. Previously, the PSOB Program only covered physical injuries, excluding coverage for mental health issues.

D.C. – Yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee unanimously approved H.R. 6878, the Protecting the Health and Wellness of Babies and Pregnant Women in Custody Act of 2022, legislation introduced by U.S. Representatives Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14) and Karen Bass (CA-37) to establish a national standard of prenatal and post-delivery care for incarcerated women and their babies. Similar legislation introduced by Reps. Reschenthaler and Bass passed the House by a unanimous vote during the 116th Congress.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Guy Reschenthaler (PA-14) introduced an amendment to prevent the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) from using federal funds to build new tolls on existing roads and bridges and tax Pennsylvania’s families, blue-collar workers, and senior citizens. Unfortunately, the amendment, introduced during the House Committee on Appropriations’ consideration of legislation to fund federal transportation programs for Fiscal Year 2023 was blocked by committee Democrats.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Committee on Appropriations unanimously passed U.S. Representative Guy Reschenthaler’s (PA-14) amendment prohibiting federal funding for the United Nations Human Rights Council’s (UNHRC) Commission of Inquiry into false allegations of human rights violations by Israel in the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.
