U.S. Congressman Van Taylor (TX-03) today announced details for his annual Valentines for Veterans outreach program in Collin County.

The week of February 14 is recognized as National Salute to Veteran Patients week, and provides Americans the opportunity to honor and thank veterans across the country. Specifically, the program aims to increase community awareness of the critical role VA medical centers, outpatient clinics, domiciliaries, and nursing homes play in the treatment and care of our nation’s veterans and encourage citizens to reach out to hospitalized veterans.

During this time, Congressman Taylor encourages Collin County students to create valentines that will be hand-delivered to veterans at the VA North Texas Healthcare System.

Rep. Taylor stated, "My annual Valentines for Veterans program is an excellent way to show our gratitude and appreciation for those who wore the uniform in defense of our nation. Every year, it's inspiring to see a large outpouring of support for our nation's veterans and I look forward to continuing the tradition."
