Congressman Van Taylor Announces 2022 Congressional Art Competition

Today, U.S. Congressman Van Taylor (TX-03) announced his office is now accepting applications for the 2022 Congressional Art Competition for Texas' Third Congressional District. 

"Texas' Third Congressional District is home to many talented young artists and I'm excited to announce this year's art competition is now underway. I look forward to seeing students' submissions as we continue the tradition of recognizing the importance of art." 

The Congressional Art Competition was created in 1982. To date, hundreds of thousands of high school students throughout the country have participated. The winning artist’s work will be displayed for one year in the national exhibition in the Cannon Tunnel, a pedestrian walkway leading the U.S. Capitol.

Entries must be physically received by Congressman Taylor's Collin County office no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Late submissions will not be accepted.

All artwork will be available for display on Congressman Taylor's website by late-April.

Winners of this competition will be announced at a later date. The winning artist’s work will be displayed for one year in the national exhibition in the Cannon Tunnel, a pedestrian walkway leading the U.S. Capitol.

The second place winner will have their artwork displayed in Congressman Taylor’s district office in Collin County.
