• Celebrating Central Subway

    Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi joined Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Mayor London Breed, local transportation and community leaders touring the new Central Subway Muni Metro line between the Union Square and Chinatown Stations, where they discussed the importance of infrastructure investments – including the Bipartisan Infrastructure La’s largest investment in transit in our nation’s history. The Central Subway, scheduled to open this Fall, will provide a direct, rapid transit line between Chinatown, Downtown, and the existing T-Third line, and received over $1 billion in federal funding secured by Congresswoman Pelosi.

    Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi joined local public health leaders and San Franciscans who benefitted from lower costs thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act at a press conference in the Bayview at the Southeast Family Health Center. Pelosi highlighted how the law lowers prescription drug costs, improves Medicare for seniors and extends the ACA subsidies lowering costs for Covered California enrollees.
