Direct Financial Assistance Fast Facts Courtesy of the IRS

  • The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 includes a second round of Economic Impact Payments for qualified individuals making up to $75,000 per year.
  • The second round of payments, or “EIP 2,” is generally $600 for singles and $1,200 for married couples filing a joint return. In addition, those with qualifying children will also receive $600 for each qualifying child. Dependents who are 17 and older are not eligible for the child payment.
  • Eligible taxpayers who don't receive a payment – or the full amount– can claim the Recovery Rebate Credit when they file their 2020 tax return. Taxpayers in this situation are urged to file electronically with direct deposit to ensure their tax refund – and their stimulus payment – reach them as soon as possible.

Paycheck Protection Program Fast Facts Courtesy of the Small Business Administration and the House Small Business Committee 

  • The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 includes $284.5 billion dollars to reopen and strengthen the PPP for first time and second time borrowers
  • The COVID relief bill also established a process for a small business to receive a second PPP if the business has less than 300 employees and can demonstrate a revenue reduction of 25 percent
  • The U.S. Small Business Administration, in consultation with the U.S. Treasury Department reopened the Paycheck Protection Program loan portal for first time borrowers on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.
