(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) supports President Trump’s call to “arrest anyone who vandalizes any monument, statue or other such federal property.” Violent demonstrators have been vandalizing and destroying statues and memorials of our Founders, former Presidents, and even war heroes across the nation. These events culminated with an attempt to remove a statue of Andrew Jackson that sits across from the White House on Monday evening.

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after he was added as a plaintiff to a lawsuit in the D.C. Federal District Court challenging the constitutionality of proxy voting. This lawsuit was filed by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, 19 other House Republicans, and 4 other Americans on May 26th, 2020. Additionally, Congressman LaMalfa vowed to refrain from using the proxy vote in any way.

(Butte County, CA) – Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) issued the following statement after the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) issued $4,244,370.17 to Paradise Community Village Apartments and $3,187,709.27 to Butte County to assist with disaster recovery following the 2018 Camp Fire. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced an additional $14,666,667 to California to continue disaster recovery efforts after the November 2018 wildfires, including the Camp Fire. These funds can be used for disaster clean up, continued employment and training for displaced workers.
