TAIPEI, TAIWAN– Today, Congressman Kaialiʻi Kahele (HI-02) announced he met with President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan as part of a bipartisan Congressional delegation to Taiwan. The meeting with President Tsai reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s strong democracy.

This has been a busy time for my staff and I in Washington D.C. and Hawai'i. Key legislation passed Congress from the Inflation Reduction Act to the PACT Act which will help build a stronger economy and expand healthcare for millions of veterans. I will continue to advance programs that provide critical funding to local organizations and help build a stronger economy for future generations.

WASHINGTON — Hawaii Congressman Ed Case threw a shaka as he descended the steps of the U.S. Capitol on Friday after voting to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, historic legislation that aims to reduce drug prices, tax wealthy corporations and inject hundreds of billions of dollars into the global fight against climate change.
