RODGERS, Joseph G., a Sergeant at Arms from Pennsylvania; born in Philadelphia, Pa., on October 19, 1868; staff, Office of the Clerk, United States House of Representatives, 1905–1911; staff, Office of the Doorkeeper, United States House of Representatives, 1913–1919; elected Sergeant at Arms of the United States House of Representatives for the Sixty-sixth and for the five succeeding Congresses (May 19, 1919–December 7, 1931); staff, Office of the Doorkeeper, United States House of Representatives, 1931–1935; Minority Clerk, United States House of Representatives, 1936–1937; died on July 12, 1937, in Washington, D.C.
