KENNEDY, Bert W., a Doorkeeper from Michigan; born in Grand Ledge, Eaton County, Mich., circa March 1873; Page, Office of the Doorkeeper, United States House of Representatives, 1889; staff, Office of the Doorkeeper, U.S. House of Representatives, 1890–1919; elected Doorkeeper of the U.S. House of Representatives to the Sixty–sixth Congress and to the five succeeding Congresses (May 19, 1919–December 7, 1931); staff, Office of the Clerk, U.S. House of Representatives, 1931–1937; died on April 16, 1959, in Vienna, Va.; interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
