L., a Doorkeeper from Missouri; born in St. Louis, Mo., September 16, 1876; attended public school; attended Washington University, St. Louis, Mo.; businessman; elected Doorkeeper of the United States House of Representatives to the Eightieth Congress (January 3, 1947–January 3, 1949); died on September 13, 1956, in Washington, D.C.; interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, Md.
