SINNOTT, Joseph J., a Doorkeeper from Virginia; born in Richmond, Va., August 9, 1860; staff, United States House of Representatives Sergeant at Arms; elected Doorkeeper of the U.S. House of Representatives to the Sixty–second Congress and to the three succeeding Congresses (April 4, 1911–May 19, 1919); elected Doorkeeper of the United States House of Representatives tp the Seventy–second Congress and to the six succeeding Congresses until his death on January 27, 1943 (December 7, 1931–January 27, 1943); died on January 27, 1943, in Washington, D.C.
