The First Women in Congress Exhibition
- U.S. Capitol, First Floor House Connecting Corridor
- 2017–2020
In the U.S. Capitol from 2017 to 2020, the First Women in Congress exhibition celebrated the 100th anniversary of Jeannette Rankin taking her seat as the first woman in the U.S. House of Representatives. This web exhibition complements the physical exhibition, using objects and documents to further explore the prominent issues addressed by Rankin, and the early generation of women Representatives who followed in her footsteps.
