The White House Visitor’s Office has announced that the White House will be closed to tours November 16-December 5, 2022 due to events in the residence.

Please call my office at 202.225.1002 with any questions or concerns.*

Our Nation’s Capital is a truly unique place where democracy is exercised, and our heritage is preserved for generations of Americans.

My staff are eager to provide assistance facilitating tour requests for many of the historic sites in Washington. My office in Washington can arrange tours of several popular sites in Washington, D.C., for residents of Florida's 11th District. Please keep in mind that while tickets are free, admittance is determined by the individual tour site or agency, not by the Congressional office. Unless specified, tours are available Monday through Friday. These tours are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and the summer months are the peak tourist season.

Due to heightened security, tour requests for the White House and The Bureau of Engraving and Printing should be made at least 3 months in advance. These tours are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is very limited, and there is no guarantee that you will receive tickets.

Tips for Visiting Capitol Hill:

  • House Galleries - The House galleries remain closed to all tours.
  • Meals - Longworth Cafeteria is open for the use of escorted tour groups, before or after their scheduled tour time.
  • Transportation - Since parking is extremely limited in Washington, taxis, buses, and the Metrorail subway are the easiest forms of transportation to and from Capitol Hill.

The Capitol South and Federal Center SW Metro stations are the closest stations to our office. For additional details on the Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO), please visit: http://www.wmata.com/.
