(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressmen Doug LaMalfa (R – Calif.) and Chris Pappas (D – N.H.) introduced new legislation to help cover the out-of-pocket expenses that veterans and their caregivers incur when traveling to receive medical care provided through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In response to high inflation, the Veterans Medical Mileage Adjustment Act of 2022 would increase the mileage reimbursement rate for the Beneficiary Travel Program for eligible veterans who have to travel more than seven miles, or more than 14 miles round trip, for VA-related health care.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) introduced new legislation, The Revoking Engine and Vehicle (REV) Requirements Act. This bill will repeal California’s Clean Air Act waiver and will terminate all existing waivers provided in the repealed sections.

(Washington, D.C.) - Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) announced a $4,694,486.25 FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program award to the Paradise Irrigation District. This grant will fund a water supply hazard mitigation project which will improve the irrigation district's wastewater treatment plant and water distribution system. This will reduce the risk of damage to water distribution infrastructure and damage from loss of service due to natural disasters, such as flooding, storms, or wildfires.
