Utah is facing a record number of wildfires, and fire policies of the past simply aren’t working anymore. With the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill, I secured into law the establishment of a commission to modernize and refresh our fire mitigation and management policies, and the Commission’s first meeting is being held today in Salt Lake City! I look forward to the Commission's recommendations to better protect our communities from wildfires.
