Clerkships

The Office of U.S. Senator Alex Padilla offers law clerkships in our Washington D.C. office. Law Clerks’ responsibilities will include conducting research, drafting memoranda, tracking legislation, preparing for committee hearings, evaluating court decisions and legal trends, and assisting counsel with Senator Padilla’s portfolio on the Judiciary Committee.

Additional Information on Clerkships

The clerkship is open to law school students and recent law school graduates.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until November 6, 2022. Please click here to submit your application. All applications must be submitted through the application portal.

Should you have any questions regarding our clerkships, please do not hesitate to contact us at internship_padilla@padilla.senate.gov.

Please note: At this time, we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 public health crisis and are committed to ensuring the health and safety of law clerks. We will adjust the program format for clerkship classes as needed to meet the challenges presented by the pandemic. For our summer clerkship program, we are still assessing if participants will be in-person or virtual.
