Washington, D.C. - Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, issued a statement in response to a General Services Administration (GSA) announcement that the agency is moving forward with its plan for a new Los Angeles Courthouse.

Senator Boxer said: "I am so pleased that GSA is moving forward with the new courthouse in Los Angeles, because the situation with the existing courthouse presents an unacceptable terrorist threat and risk of seismic activity."
