The Science and Astronautics Committee had the honor of being the first committee to meet in the new Rayburn House Office Building, which opened in January of 1965. Committee Chairman George P. Miller was seated in the high-backed chair at left and members of an advisory panel on science and technology sat facing him from the witness table.
