Senator John Thune has added two additional town hall meetings to his Senate recess schedule. On Friday, August 28th at 8:30 AM MT he will hold a town hall in Rapid City at the Surbeck Center Ballroom on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and on Thursday, September 3rd at 11:30 AM CT he will hold one at the Dakota Land Stage during the State Fair in Huron.
Yesterday, Senator Thune announced he would be holding town halls in Aberdeen on Thursday, August 20th in the Centennial Rooms at the Student Center on the campus of Northern State University at 11:30 AM CT and in Watertown on Monday, August 24th at the County Fair Banquet Hall at 5:00 PM CT.
"These town halls will give residents an opportunity to come and ask questions on the topics that are of interest to them," said Thune. "As I have been travelling across the state for the last week and a half, I have discussed a wide range of issues with South Dakotans. These town halls will allow me to gain more feedback before returning to Washington in September."
Senator Thune will be travelling across South Dakota until the Senate reconvenes on Tuesday, September 8th.
