My Washington, D.C. office will be happy to help Delaware residents purchase an American flag that can be flown over the U.S. Capitol to commemorate a special occasion, event or holiday.

Along with the flag, you will receive a certificate stating that the flag was flown over the Capitol. The certificate will include the name of the person or organization for whom the flag was flown, the occasion for which it was flown and the date it was flown.

Note: The pickup option for flags is no longer available. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we strongly encourage you to submit flag requests online with a credit card rather than by mail. During this period, processing times for flags flown over the Capitol is 4-6 weeks.

Print and fill out the Flag Request Form, below. You cannot use a credit card if submitting via mail. Please make your check or money order payable to "Keeper of the Stationery" and return with the completed form to:

Please send the order form and payment at least four weeks prior to the fly date, and allow an additional four to six weeks after the fly date for delivery. Once a date has passed, it is no longer possible to purchase a flag flown on that date.
