Cumberland CID- Cobb Parkway Pedestrian Bridge North

Amount: $1,000,000.00

Project Description: This funding will provide critical infrastructure that will link communities together and allow for residents, workers, and visitors to access the community safely and efficiently. The Bridge will help remove the barrier to pedestrians over Cobb Parkway and allow individuals to access their place of work at The Battery Atlanta, Papa Johns’ national headquarters, TK Tower, and surrounding worksites. The Cobb Parkway Pedestrian Bridge North also will connect into the Cumberland Sweep, a multimodal path that will be a vital transportation resource for Cobb and the state.

Corners Outreach – Corners Outreach Community Center Funding

Project Description: This funding will the acquisition of a new building, allow for expansion of Corners Academy K-12 programs, provide start-up funding for Workforce Academy, and create a welcoming Community Center where Corners families will have on-site access to much- needed wrap-around services.

City of Doraville – Peachtree Creek Greenway (PCG) Extension

Amount: $7,000,000

Project Description:  This funding will create an extension of the Peachtree Creek Greenway. This 0.4-mile trail segment was recommended in the completed feasibility study to be the model project, based on the selection criteria and feedback garnered from the public. This phase can act as a standalone project that brings recreational opportunities to residents and a safer commute to school, while still progressing the study goal of creating a regionally connecting greenway, it will serve the families and students of two schools, Cary Reynolds Elementary and Sequoyah Middle School, allowing them access to the Peachtree Greenway Extension.

City of Sandy Springs - Path 400 Trail Extension

Amount: $7,000,000

Project Description: This funding would be used to construct a shared-use path on the east side of State Route 400 between the Sandy Springs City limits and Johnson Ferry Road. The Path 400 Trail extension project is the northern segment of PATH 400, a 5.2 mile walkable, bikeable trail being constructed on public land adjacent to State Route 400, extending from the northern tip of Midtown, Atlanta to the southern part of City of Sandy Springs inside the Perimeter Community Improvement District. The proposed path will tie into the I-285/SR 400 interchange improvement project, which extends the overall trail another 0.6 miles.

Cobb County Department of Transportation - Intersection of Johnson Ferry and Shallowford Rd.

City of Roswell-Chattahoochee River:  Ace Sand Park – Children Stormwater Garden and Adventure Path Project

Amount: $3,557,588

Project Description: The proposed Ace Sand Park Stormwater Children’s Garden and Adventure Path is a green infrastructure project that support stormwater system resiliency and will provide water storage and filtration benefits, and green streets, where vegetation, soil, and engineered systems are combined to direct and filter rainwater from impervious surfaces.

Emory University– InEmory Nursing Apprenticeship Program

Amount: $500,000

Project Description: The proposed pilot is a nurse apprentice program embedded into an existing prelicensure entry to practice nursing program. The prelicensure nursing education program, InEmory, is an academic-practice partnership between Emory University, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, and Emory Healthcare (EHC) since 2019. The program would benefit healthcare in Georgia by providing nursing students more real-world clinical experience to prepare them for entry into professional nursing.

Wellspring Living - Equity and Inclusion Initiative

Amount: $245,560

Project Description - This program allows victims of sexual violence and exploitation access to educational and workforce services. Participants earn their GEDs, receive valuable job readiness training, complete a paid apprenticeship, and forge valuable connections to secure employment. Georgia Center for Child Advocacy – Child Trauma and Abuse Intervention
