VISITING WASHINGTON D.C.

Washington, D.C. is an exciting city that offers visitors the opportunity to witness the workings of our government firsthand. The city boasts impressive architecture, educational museums, historic monuments, and an array of entertainment and cultural experiences. The Metro subway system is a convenient and easy way to navigate the city.

The Office of Senator Edward J. Markey D-Mass is happy to help arrange tours of some of the most popular sites our nation’s capital has to offer. Please see below for more information about the tours our office can arrange and to submit a tour request form.

Please note: for both U.S. Capitol and White House tours, the Visitor Center for each either confirms or denies every inquiry, so our office cannot guarantee the outcome of any request.

Given the ongoing reopening processes of these buildings and tour systems, we kindly ask that you remain flexible to any last-minute tour cancellations that the responsible visitor centers may make.

If you have any additional questions about scheduling a U.S. Capitol tour with Senator Markey’s office please email our U.S. Capitol tour coordinator at capitol_tours@senate.markey.gov and for general tour inquiries 202-224-2742.In the event you cannot secure a U.S. Capitol or White House tour, we encourage you to check out the many free museums that Washington, D.C. has to offer such as the Library of Congress, and the consortium of Smithsonian museums such as the National Museum of African American History and CultureNational Portrait Gallery, or the National Museum of Natural History.
