WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) congratulated Megan Glynn, formerly of Jacksonville, for achieving the distinction of Air Force Spouse of the Year.  Glynn was named a finalist for Military Spouse magazine's 2011 Military Spouse of the Year Award. Each year, five finalists representing the five branches of the military are nominated for the award and a winner is selected through an online vote.

Glynn was honored for her outstanding commitment to the community of Little Rock Air Force Base and her achievement of professional success.

"Megan has been a great inspiration to Air Force families. Our military families sacrifice a great deal. Megan’s outstanding personal achievement and focus on opportunities amid great challenges serves as inspiration not only to fellow military spouses, but to all Arkansans. I am proud to have the chance to join Military Spouse magazine in honoring her work," Boozman said.

Boozman met with Glynn at a ceremony on Thursday in Washington. The 2011 Military Spouse of the Year and the honorees representing each branch were recognized at the fourth annual Military Spouse of the Year Awards Ceremony.

Upon her husband’s completion of his C-130J training at Little Rock Air Force Base, Megan and her family have recently relocated to California and are anticipating the birth of their third child.
