The U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) confirmed Thursday that it denied all religious accommodation requests to the COVID-19 vaccine from midshipmen, but it also said that congressional complaints that current unvaccinated students have had their diplomas withheld are not accurate. The confirmation on vaccination exemptions came after Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., and a handful of other Republican lawmakers sent a letter to Naval Vice Adm. Sean Buck on Tuesday that demanded information on how many exemptions had been granted by the USNA.

A group of House Republicans is probing the Navy after uncovering evidence that the US Naval Academy (USNA) is keeping midshipmen from graduating if they sought religious accommodations to the Pentagon’s COVID vaccine mandate. In a letter to Naval Vice Adm. Sean Buck Tuesday, lawmakers led by Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., said denying diplomas to otherwise qualified midshipmen is a waste of the country’s four-year investment in those people and will hurt military readiness at a time when all service branches are having trouble with recruitment and retention.

I never had a desire to serve in the military, but during my time in law school at the University of Florida, two planes hit the Twin Towers and everything changed. Google is "punishing Republicans" who speak out against Big Tech, according to the conservative Media Research Center.  MRC Free Speech America has conducted a series of studies related to Google’s treatment of Republicans ahead of the critical midterm elections. Despite Google's vehement denials of any wrongdoing, the conservative media watchdog believes Google "does change its algorithm to benefit certain political candidates," and is focused on the Senate because its "search bias" didn’t carry over to House races where the GOP is already favored.

According to the New York Post, the Biden administration is considering a plan to temporarily hold Haitian migrants in a third country or use an existing center at Guantanamo Bay.  The report cited officials who told NBC News that the National Security Council is in discussions with the Department of Homeland Security over how many migrants would need to be picked up at sea to allow the U.S. to designate a third country to house and process the individuals.

Months after Gov. Ron DeSantis removed a special district status from areas of Walt Disney World, putting the region in flux on how it will operate in the future, Steube is sponsoring a bill that would eliminate copyright protections for Mickey Mouse.
