The U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure announced March 3, 2021, that the Committee will accept requests for Member Designated Projects to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming surface transportation reauthorization legislation under a reformed process that includes new transparency measures.

(WASHINGTON, DC)  Today, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (D-El Monte) voted for H.R. 7617, the FY2021 Defense, Commerce-Justice-Science, Energy and Water Development, Financial Services and General Government, Labor-HHS-Education, and Transportation-Housing and Urban Development “Minibus” appropriations package, in which she secured hundreds of millions of federal dollars for Whittier Narrows Dam, water recycling projects, the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, and life-saving mental health services.

(AZUSA, CA) Today, Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (D-El Monte) congratulated the San Gabriel River Water Committee on being awarded a $300,000 Bureau of Reclamation WaterSMART Drought Resiliency Project Grant it received for the construction of a new river gate inlet structure near the existing Azusa-Duarte Tunnel Inlet on the San Gabriel River. Napolitano requested in a February 2017 letter that the Bureau of Reclamation support the Committee’s grant application.
