MEALS FOR K-12 STUDENTS

STATE RESOURCES

During the current school closure, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is offering three to-go meals a day to all children under the age of 18, without charge. MSDE has hundreds of meal distribution centers across the state. ONLINE LEARNING RESOURCES

As education shifts from at-school and at-office to in-home to prevent the spread of COVID-19, internet providers are working to provide unlimited data, boost internet speeds, open up WiFi hotspot networks to the public, and waiving late charges. Many internet providers now have payment plans and have agreed to not terminate service for customers affected financially by the pandemic. STUDENT LOAN BORROWER RELIEF

  • COVID-19 Emergeny Relief Flexibilities for federal student loans were extended through at least September 30, 2021, including suspension of loan payments, stopped collections on defaulted loans, and a 0% interest rate.
