CBP employees, retirees and their eligible family members may be eligible to access the widest selection of healthcare plans through the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program.

CBP employees and family members may be eligible to enroll in a pretax benefit account that can be used to pay for eligible medical, dental, and vision care expenses not covered by their healthcare plan.

LIFE INSURANCE (FEGLI)
CBP employees may be eligible for Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) coverage.  FEGLI coverage consists of Basic life insurance with three forms of Optional insurance available.

LONG TERM CARE (FLTCIP)
The Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) provides long term care insurance to help you pay for the care if you can no longer perform everyday tasks due to a chronic illness, injury, disability or aging.

RETIREMENT
Most federal employees participate in the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) or the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS). Employees in both systems may also participate in the federal Thrift Savings Plan (TSP).

SURVIVOR BENEFITS & SUPPORT

 Following the death of a federal employee, weeks or months can pass before survivor benefits are paid. Enroll in SAMBA's Employee Benevolent Fund for a term life insurance policy with immediate payouts to  your designated beneficiary.

CBP TAP provides financial assistance to CBP employees for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of professional and personal self-development goals.
