At West Point, cadets have the option to participate in any of the 130+ extracurricular activities - many which cannot be found at other colleges and universities.

Every college has its own culture and traditions. But, with more than two hundred years of American and military history, and West Point’s time honored traditions, the U.S. Military Academy truly is like nowhere else.

At West Point, every cadet is an athlete. Whether it’s NCAA, club sports, or intramurals, daily life for cadets always includes some form of competitive fitness.

There are seventeen different branches, with each being its own entity and having its specific role within the U.S. Army. “Branching” is an exciting step for cadets because it’s a time when each is selected for the type of work they’ll be doing as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.
