We all face a mental health crisis from time to time. A mental health crisis can take many forms. Generally, a mental health crisis is a period of intense difficulty or instability that can't be resolved without the help of trained professionals. A mental health crisis does not always mean someone is a danger to themselves or others.


In a mental health crisis? You're not alone.

If you are in a mental health crisis, there are many services and supports available to you whether you need someone to talk to, you need someone to respond, or you need a place to go. To learn more about what is available to you, select the option below that best meets what you need.

  • If you are in imminent danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
  • If you are having thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself, call your county’s crisis line or 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
