John Mason is the Director or Federal Government Affairs for Altria Client Services LLC. In his role, John manages Altria’s Political Action Committee, stakeholder engagement, community affairs in local Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in government affairs and strategic initiatives on legislative issues.

Prior to joining Altria, John worked for the US Department of Agriculture in Rural Development for Utilities in the Administrators Office.

John serves on the Board of the National Association of Business Political Action Committee, where he Co-Chairs the D, E & I Taskforce as well as the 21st Century Council for the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, Corporate Advisory Council for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Co-Chair of the Leadership Council for Miriam’s Kitchen, Vice Chair of the Corporate Roundtable for the Phillips Collection, and Vice-Chair of UNIFI, Altria’s black employee resource group.
