Welcome to USAID/Philippines!

USAID is fortunate to be working with highly capable and committed Filipino partners from both the public and the private sectors, and NGOs.  Together, we are carrying out a broad range of innovative programs to promote investments and good governance for stimulating economic growth and job creation; achieve peace and prosperity in Mindanao and other conflict-affected areas; strengthen local governments; improve health and family planning services; strengthen management of natural resources; and increase access to quality education in disadvantaged areas.

The Philippines has made significant progress.  But, much more remains to be done.  Success in addressing its sustainable development challenges is the key to the Philippines being able to compete in the global economy; alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life for all Filipinos; and help overcome the global problems of rapid population growth, environmental degradation and infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
