On September 23, the Detroit community will convene at the Detroit Public Schools Welcome Center for an education conference for Hispanic American families.

University of Texas at El Paso Hosts Sixth Partners in Hispanic Education Event for El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM Communities
The event's agenda, organized by MANA, A National Latina Organization, Girl Scouts of the USA and State Farm will bring together students, parents, superintendents, principals, teachers, policy makers and concerned community members to discuss ways to improve Latino student achievement and increase their enrollment in college.
Paige Renews Commitment to Hispanic Colleges and Universities
"We must open the door to postsecondary education for more Hispanic students and take steps to ensure that they have the skills, confidence and resources to complete their studies," Secretary Paige said.
University of New Mexico Hosts Fifth Partners in Hispanic Education Event
The conference will provide valuable information and resources to students and families on how to help their children succeed in schools and gain admission into college. The conference will take place at the University of New Mexico on March 19 & 20.
Hispanics Have Good Reason to Embrace No Child Left Behind
"Many parents make great sacrifices for their children, and Hispanic parents are no different. We want our children to obtain the American dream, and we know that their best chance for success depends on the education they receive. We must support our children in their educational endeavors and believe that they can be the teachers, doctors, lawyers and astronauts of tomorrow. With No Child Left Behind, there is a new mindset in America: Education is a civil right."
