U.S. Embassy Grants 1.2 Million Nakfa to Local Communities
Asmara, September 3, 2004 – U.S. Ambassador to Eritrea Scott H. DeLisi and local community leaders signed agreements to fund ten projects by grants from the United States Government for a total amount of $90, 750 (1,229,663 Nakfa). With these grants, total U.S. assistance to Eritrea in 2004 exceeds $60 million (814,355,000 Nakfa) including food aid.(complete text)
