Deputy Chief of Mission Michael Michalak from the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo made an orientation visit to Okinawa May 7-11. Besides meeting with Governor Inamine, U.S. military commanders and many Okinawan officials, Mr. Michalak spoke at Naha Kokusai and Kyuyo High Schools. He also visited the Consulate General.
