U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigations Donates Anti-Trafficking Equipment to Ministry of Interior

On Wednesday, September 15, at 11:00, at the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, U.S. Consulate Principal Officer Hoyt Yee will present $36,000 of equipment to be utilized by the Ministry's Anti-Trafficking Team. The Ministry will be represented by the Chief of the Anti-Trafficking Team, Veselin Saranovic. The U.S. Federal Bureau of Information will be represented by Special Agent Michael Kosanovich.

The equipment, consisting of desk top computers, camcorders, printers, fax machines and cellular phones, will assist the unit, and the Ministry, in their efforts to pursue cases and collect and share information on the perpetrators and victims of one of the most serious and deplorable criminal activities affecting Southeastern Europe.

The Ministry's Anti-Trafficking Team has been working closely and cooperating with American officials, most notably with the FBI and Department of Justice, to combat trafficking activities. The equipment presented was funded by the FBI as part of its international anti-trafficking efforts.

Federalni biro za istrage (FBI) dodeljuje Ministarstvu unutrašnjih poslova opremu za borbu protiv trgovine ljudima

U srijedu, 15. septembra, u 11 sati, u Ministarstvu unutrašnjih poslova Crne Gore, šef Konzulata SAD u Podgorici Hojt Ji uručiće 36.000 dolara vrijednu opremu koju će koristiti tim za borbu protiv trgovine ljudima Ministarstva. Ministarstvo će predstavljati šef tima za borbu protiv trgovine ljudima Veselin Šaranović. Američki Federalni biro za istrage (FBI) će predstavljati specijalni agent Majkl Kosanović.

Oprema koja se sastoji od kompjutera, kamera, štampača, faks mašina i mobilnih telefona pomoći će ovoj jedinici i Ministarstvu u njihovim naporima da sprovode istragu, sakupljaju i čine dostupnim informacije o počiniocima i žrtvama jedne od najozbiljnijih i najokrutnijih kriminalnih aktivnosti koja pogađa Jugoistočnu Evropu.

Tim za borbu protiv trgovine ljudima Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova usko sarađuje sa američkim službenicima, najviše sa FBI i Ministarstvom pravde, u borbi protiv trgovine ljudima. Opremu koja će biti uručena finansira FBI kao dio njegovih medjunarodnih aktivnosti u borbi protiv trgovine ljudima.
