all press, cultural, information, and educational programs
of the U.S. government in El Salvador in order to build greater
understanding of an appreciation for the United States and
its policies.

Public Affairs Counselor, Donna Roginski
Under her supervision, the Public Affairs Section carries
a varied series of programs with different sectors of the
Salvadoran community, including the press, government, private
sector, universities, museums, and cultural organizations.

Press
Officer, Rebecca Brown Thompson
The
Press Officer, usually known as the Press Attaché,
works directly with Salvadoran media. This office
organizes reports on information for those journalists
who cover
the Embassy and disseminates statements made by officials
of
the U.S. government.
CULTURE
Cultural Officer, Jennifer Purl
The Cultural Officer coordinates the activities of the
Cultural section of the Embassy. This section is responsible
for academic
and professional exchanges between the U.S. and El Salvador.
It coordinates a speakers’ program, works with
museums and cultural institutions, organizes seminars,
and occasionally
sponsors cultural events.
