New U.S. $50 To Be Released Into Circulatio
The U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. Secret Service will release into circulation the first newly redesigned $50 bill on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. On this date, the Federal Reserve will begin distributing the new notes to its banking customers for distribution to businesses and the public worldwide. [Press Release]
