AMBASSADOR TO TUNISIA WILLIAM J. HUDSON
William J. Hudson, of Virginia is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of the United States of America to the Republic of Tunisia. A career
member of the Senior Foreign Service, Ambassador Hudson entered the
Foreign Service in 1972. Mr. Hudson has served
at the Department of State as the Executive Director of the Bureaus
of Near Eastern Affairs and South Asian Affairs. His previous overseas
assignments include service as Minister-Counselor for Administrative
Affairs in Paris, Administrative Officer in Belgrade, Deputy Chief
of Mission in Lome, General Services Officer in Tehran and Administrative
Officer in Lubumbashi. He is the recipient of the Presidential Meritorious
Performance Award. He received his bachelor’s degree and his master’s
degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. Ambassador
Hudson is married and has three children. He speaks Farsi and French.
