Windy

WindyHi, I’m Windy. I like patterns – there are patterns of the wind, the seasons, and energy too. Native American clothes, pottery, and music show me patterns in things that I use every day.

I like finding patterns and
hidden images in pictures and nature. I like the patterns that go with math and science. They make reasoning fluid since I can remember how systems of patterns hook together. When I grow up, I want to be a scientist who discovers alternative energy resources from the patterns in energy and energy conservation.

Energy is a unifying concept  is an important idea. Let’s try to learn this style by looking at a basic energy pattern. Then we can move on to more and more highly developed relationships between every aspect of what we do with our lives, when viewed from the perspective of energy.

OK, now let’s try “pattern-learning”. Sitting quietly, stare at this pattern. Move your eyes around slowly, covering every speck of the image, reading every word, looking at every line and what is at the end of each line. Move the image of the pattern further away, and examine it again. Do this from every perspective, from the left holding it to the left, then from the right holding it to the right, all the while thinking about the kinds and qualities of relationships between the topics in the pattern.

If there’s one thought to leave you with, it is to remember the pattern that goes with using electricity. So please, “Turn out the lights, turn out the lights.”

Can you help me find more “pattern-learning” that interest you so I can add them to my Pattern-learning list?
